Triple P supports parents in raising confident, healthy children and teenagers. Triple P gives parents the practical skills they need to build strong family relationships, manage misbehavior, and prevent problems from happening in the first place.
We don't tell people how to parent, rather we give you simple and practical strategies they can adapt to suit their own values, beliefs and needs.
Triple P also recognizes that one size doesn't fit all. It's a system that offers increasing levels of support to meet parents' different needs.
One time 2 1/2 hours of small group format presentation on specific topics for parents. Topics cover commonly encountered problems such as disobedience, fighting and aggression, creating healthy bedtime routines, and shopping with children. The discussion groups are designed to provide an overview and introduction to the principles of positive parenting for any interested parent.
Parents learn how to use positive parenting to encourage children to learn the skills and competencies they need, and to promote their health, development, and well-being. Discussion groups are the least intensive form of parent coaching.

Parents - Help your teenager Cope with their Emotions - Tuesday Session
For more serious behavior problems, these Individual sessions consist of 8 total sessions with an Accredited Triple P-trained parent coach and parent(s). Five group sessions and three telephone support calls (8 total). Groups of 10-12 parents attend face-to-face sessions over a period of two months.
This approach provides the support to help you manage your child's behavior and prevent the kinds of problems that make your family life stressful. The first four sessions help parents understand Triple P strategies through observation, discussion, practice, and feedback.
Each session lasts for up to two hours. The Triple P provider uses the Every Parent's Survival Guide DVD to show the positive parenting strategies at work and parents receive the Every Parent's Group Workbook, which outlines each session and allows you to record your progress.
After the initial four sessions, parents have around three weeks to practice the strategies at home. During this time you will receive three personal brief support phone calls from me. These calls are a chance to review any strategies you may be having difficulties with. The final group session will provide a review and evaluate progress.
Group Triple P is a very thorough method of delivery used for the prevention and/or management of behavioral problems.
WHO IS IT FOR?
It is recommended for two different types of parenting situations. The first is for parents of children with significant or multiple behavioral difficulties that are often displayed in more than one setting – for example at home, school, sports clubs or with friends. It is also for motivated parents interested in gaining a more in-depth understanding of positive parenting. It is available for parents of children from birth to 12 years.
