Lakisha has demonstrated knowledge and expertise of the needs of adults, families, and youth. She has an understanding and empathy of their challenges and how to best support them. Her personable demeanor and genuine care for the well-being of those she works with naturally draws people in. She specializes in supporting families and individuals seeking to enhance their current life situation and assist with putting the pieces of life together. With continued passion for healing, Lakisha created the Healing Is Power Movement! - which intentionally seeks to encourage all people to gain their full Power though Mental and Emotional Healing.
Lakisha earned her BS in Criminal Justice from UNC-Charlotte and MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in NC and Accredited Parenting practitioner with the Triple P parenting model. Lakisha is trained and specializes in working with children who have experienced trauma utilizing TF-CBT.
Ms. Lakisha is also a proud mother of her two daughters, Caylah (age 18) and Jadah (age 15) and dog Ebony.

~~Sheree is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate for the State of North Carolina.She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Winston-Salem State University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from East Carolina University. Working also as a school counselor in the public school system, Sheree has 7 years of experience in the mental health field and 14 years working with children in the public school setting. Serving children and young adults (up to age 21) is her speciality area. She has extensive experience serving children and young adults in the following areas: anxiety, depression, family changes, low self esteem, LGBTQ, ADHD, decision and goal setting, mood disorders and autism. Sheree is an advocate for mental health and eliminating the mental health stigmas in the minority community.
Utilizing cognitive behavioral and solution focused therapy, she will work with you or your child to help navigate life in order to start the journey of healing. She believes in strength building, increasing self awareness and building healthy relationships. Each person that walks through the door is treated as an individual and has the capacity to create and sustain positive change. Building a positive, safe, trusting and nurturing therapeutic relationship is important when working with her clients. Together the goal is to help learn strategies and utilize or discover your strengths. Sheree believes that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and have someone to lean on for support in life.
